There goes the energy-consuming buildings
Scope
Reduce of energy consumption
Although the highest energy consumption of our customer came from HVAC, our task was to manage the power sockets, lights and signs that, very often, were forgotten turned on producing about 40% of total consumption.
Building Overview
Annual Energy Consumption: 2,857,981kWh
Dimensions: 19,757m2
Annual Energy Cost: 790,000K €
Users: 582
Floors: GF+11
Heating: Thermal
Year of Costruction: 2000s
Before OVER
After OVER
The AHU remained on for about 12h a day, even if the branch working hours was 8h.
We implemented our Architecture System (BEMS) and Air Quality Sensor (OSensor), automating the AHU and monitoring the environment indoor.
Employees and Managers forgot to switch off the devices or kept them activated without need.
Thanks to our devices connected to the cloud platform OverBoard, the Energy Manager, supported by our team at first, could be able to automatically develop rules of activation based on use, environment and needs.
Customers and staff complained about the ambient atmosphere, which was usually dry and heavy after a few hours of work.
Thanks to the OSensor, the Energy Manager is able to assess the indoor air quality beforehand and improve the ambient environment.
